Halter Leaf High Waisted Bikini - € 20.00

Red heels upgraded

I got those nice pumps during my stay in the Netherlands. They were cheap and amazingly strong. I had them a little over a year now and I've been wearing them A LOT.

When my husband and I moved back to Mauritius, I decided to make it my "working shoes". They are red, the heels are pretty thick and high enough. The pumps itself are still amazing to wear but the heels and the back of the shoes got really damaged and it was just a pity to throw them away for this reason so I decided to redo them.

What you gonna need?

Pick a fabric or leather. The one I chose is snake skin looking type.
A pair of scissor
Some strong glue (not instant glue)
and some other fabric (an old t-shirt or so).

Before cutting the material chosen for your shoes. Take a random piece of cloth place it on the heels and with a pen trace the heels so as to get a kind of a mold for of the heels. The picture above shows what I got. Once you get your "mold" right, go ahead fold your chosen material in two so as cut for both heels in one go.

Now glue the the material to the heel, making sure you pull well on the material to make it real tight. Then with another random fabric trace the back side of the shoe. On this part you may be creative and cut the material in a nice design. Be careful, the back has to be done in two part. Just follow the stitches of the shoe. Again make it real tight.

I hope you enjoyed it and you'll also enjoy redoing your favorite heels. I stay open if you want advice.

Take care,
With love from Mel...
